The simple willingness to improvise is more vital, in the long run, than research
00Research serves a purpose, but it doesn’t offer much when your plans and actions might change the data you’re researching.
Big visions require a willingness to step forward without seeing the whole staircase. They demand resourcefulness, thinking on the spot, and adjusting direction in flight. Everything else is a distraction, an attempt to seek comfort and security. When treading in new water there may be nothing to grasp but hope itself.
In such cases, seeking supporting evidence and data is futile. To Mavericks, sometimes even having the “facts” is not enough to curtail their willingness to try.
Mavericks, as you may have noticed, care less about the preexisting “odds” of success and much more about the journey of realizing their goals. That’s what allows them to innovate.
These individuals may not make the majority, but they still make change. They may not pay attention to the statistics, but they always influence them.

This advice came at the exact right time.
When your ideas aren’t well appreciated it’s easy to go back and crunch the numbers and fiddle with things to see if you can prove your point that way. But there’s no use if those people will never listen until you can prove it through action.
